Automakers to have docking station for IPhone, Nokia phone, but NO GPS built into car

Please forward to Corporate headquarters:
Automakers to have only a docking station for iPhone, Google T1 smartphone, iPod, etc that contains GPS, mp3 Songs, Internet radio, instead of built-in-car mp3 player/GPS/radio, etc. This will also help bring down the car costs, especially now for cost-sensitive customers.

Otherwise consumers cannot take their smartphone devices outside the car onto the street. Also that way, customers can easily choose the handheld of their choice whenever they feel like.
